Happy 8 Months old!

2 days back in Taiwan and I couldn't bear to head out! I woke papa up leaning on him to stand up.
I turn 8 months old today and it calls for a celebration! Papa drove us to the Yang Ming Mountain with grandpa+ma & the dogs!

The heat in Taipei is unbearable! Cooling off in the mountains is a great idea.
We found a good spot on the grass.
That bottle of water kept me real busy
hey, I can sit up and crawl forward, but no tooth just yet!
We had to get going, as it'll take another hour down the mountain. Reservations made at our favorite Indian Restaurant- Spices!
I stare and stare when I see people eating. I will open my mouth if you feed me, with your hands or chopsticks. Bread & rice keeps me occupied at the dining table all the time.  Ohhh I love bread.

S'pore till the end of the trip

Good morning! It's 7am and we're @ the Botanical gardens, watching groups of people exercising, practicing Qi-gong.

Grandpa is heading back to Taiwan in a couple of hours.
During our last 2 days in S'pore, mama continued meeting friends daily. We met up with mama's middle school friend from modern dance. Can you believe Mama hasn't met her friend for 17 years?! They had so much to catch up on, marriage, kids...etc
Yes, Mama did her catching up while I was asleep.
Now I'm full of energy, refusing to nap again!
Grandma decided to take me out for an evening walk to the park nearby, hoping to see the monkeys again, but we didn't. Headed to the playground instead.

It's our last day in S'pore and 3 yr Kayla came to visit. I've got a new toy, a flushing toilet and a doll, but I still prefer the iphone over anything else.
The flight back to Taiwan went smoothly, I stayed wide awake while we landed!

S'pore Day 7-8

Heading out everyday in Singapore cheers me up.
Friends drove us to IKEA for breakfast
 Waiting for my pancakes
Grandparents considered getting me a crib..
but this is what happens.. I don't want to be locked up behind bars!
Lunch time, mama's friend came by to meet us for lunch who gave me a red packet because I allowed her to hold me. But I wasn't supposed to hit her with the red packet she gave me.. but I did.
Grandpa+ma took me home, so mama could have her one and only free time hanging with her friends without me. She went to the top floor of SANDS! without me!
There's the swimming pool all the way in the end. With the recent incidents of people jumping off the building, the pool is off limits for non-residents.
Mama wasn't into gambling, she took a peek at the casino and headed to Old Airport road for dinner. Mama was simply satisfied with her sugarcane + lemon juice, but she was thinking about me deep in her heart. All went well, hanging with grandpa+ma. We went to the park nearby and saw monkeys! Yes neighbors have been complaining about the monkeys raiding the neighborhood lately.
On the very next day, we had a special date.
Mama's high school friends met up and everyone took their baby along! I met Tyler who is almost 1 and Leika who is 3.
The adults were too busy, taking pictures with us kids, and also watching over us kids since the cafe wasn't exactly child friendly. Time flew by and it was time to part, I wonder when we will meet again, maybe more babies the next time we meet.

S'pore Day 5-6 National Day

Papa worked hard and definitely deserved this short work+vacation.
This is the house mama grew up in since she was 10.
I felt that papa didn't want to head off to the airport. I wished he took more days off.
Late that night, we headed to the local market for some durian, freshly cut.
From butter creamy to bitter creamy... make your request at this 24/7 fruit market
Finally awake from a short nap, rambutans!
Mountains of durians surrounded us, I tasted some durian & wanted MORE!
 Ring Ding Ding, it's Singapore's 47th Birthday
Bride-to-be Meilina came to visit and we set off to the botanical gardens
It was filled with people on this public holiday. People had picnics with dogs & kids & frisbee!
Our poor dogs must be feeling so lonely while we are in S'pore
We walked and walked, from the botanical gardens to orchard road

2 hours of walking, well, being pushed in the stroller kept me singing while I people watched.
Mama had a good national day celebration meal with grandpa & grandma @ the long missed California Pizza Kitchen while I snoozed!

S'pore Day 3-4

Papa is off to work & I begin my day crawling. We stayed home on day 3, crawled, slept, did some bird watching and played the piano.
Day 4- We're out with grandpa, grandma to run some errands around town. Papa is off to work again, and he'll be heading back to taiwan the next day.
One Raffles Quay has an amazing view of Marina bay SANDS
I hung out with mama in the lobby while grandpa & grandma had a meeting.
Did some crawling, nursing & magazine reading while we waited.
We've been hopping on and off cars and cabs since we arrived.
1st ride on the singapore MRT
Mama & I hung around the optician for almost 2 hours while Grandpa and grandma got new glasses.
I napped and was in a great mood when we visited Raffles hotel

Papa came over to meet us after work! Mama took us to Chjmes

It's a quaint church, bringing back middle school memories of mama.
They were shooting a movie in there while we visited!

Papa is done with his assignment in Singapore and to celebrate, uncle Kevin took papa and his co-worker out for a late night supper.
